I give you my THANKS!! Yes..this is Steph! I am back at home and back on the computer. The only way to describe my recovery, which only improves everyday, is to talk about the amazing God I serve. I can’t wait until the day when I can describe just how amazing this process has been. You won’t believe some of the things I tell you. For example, the left elbow that was dislocated…but isn’t anymore…and no one fixed it. He hasn’t forgotten a single detail and I can’t wait to give him all the glory for what he has done for us.

Here’s an update: I was released from OU Medical Center on Friday afternoon. I’m at my fiancés house with my mom taking great care of me!! Everyone likes to tease him that I moved in…but the mother-in-law came too. Tehehe. We love having her here!! Kevin is doing great. He had several lacerations on his face but had plastic surgery and looks better everyday. Yes….he does also get teased about his nose job ;)

I am doing great as well. One of my injuries was to the facial nerves on the right side of my face. It will heal and in fact we can see my smile growing more everyday. I like to say it’s like a flower blossoming and will be bigger than ever before long! I am in a neck/back brace for probably the next month. It allows healing of my T5 vertebrae which was fractured. Before leaving the hospital I had a procedure to help repair my right carotid artery (it’s in the neck) and they successfully placed a stent which will help tremendously. They will check again in about 2 weeks to see if it’s healing on it’s own or if more work will be needed.

I cannot say THANK YOU enough for all of the prayers. I know the Lord hears them, and LOVES hearing from everyone. He loves me more than anyone and has never left me or forsaken me…just as he has promised to us. Prayers you can continue to ask is for my facial nerves, vertebrae, and carotid artery. When you think of the long list of prayer requests when I started this journey to now, there just isn’t much left! Kevin and I hope to make a video to describe our experience and will be sure to share when we do. Love to you all….and yes I HAVE been cooking some! It won’t be long and I’ll be back in the game!!

  1. It is so great to be able to see posts from the one and only. The fact that your stay in the hospital wasn’t more lengthy or traumatic than it was gives just a idea of how much favor God has toward you. You both are going to have such a testimony after this. You never know who has been reading or following you that needed to see proof of His works.

  16. Hello Steph! I remember that you were one of the people sitting at my table at the Nutrition Entreprenuers networking event this past October in Philadelphia! Even though you probably dont remember me, I had to write something here.I only saw this blog post and the one right before, posted by your future sis-in-law, today. I’m so sorry that you and your fiancée were in such a terrible accident. It is wonderful to see that you are both safe and recovering well! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Hopefully we’ll run into each other again at a future FNCE :)
