Time for a New Product Review! Dannon gave me several coupons to purchase the new Oikos Dips! A Greek Yogurt based vegetable dip that comes in four flavors:

  • French Onion
  • Cucumber Dill
  • Roasted Red Pepper
  • Vegetable and Herb

Note: I have 3 more coupons for a FREE Oikos Dips – leave a comment below about your favorite thing to dip in a veggie dip and  I’ll pick three winners to mail the coupon to!

I had a hard time finding them at my local grocery store, but found 2 of the flavors at a large Walmart in town. I’m sure they will be offered more places soon! I was able to pick up the French Onion and the Cucumber Dill:

Super-big-time-bonus here people. 25 calories per 2 tablespoons and only 1 gram of fat. Traditional French Onion Dip is usually up to 60 calories and 5 grams of fat in a 2 tbsp serving.

Oh yeah, and it tastes awesome! The French Onion dip totally took me back to middle school when ruffled potato chips and French Onion dip were a sleepover staple. Only this time I used ruffle cut carrot chips. Makes we want to watch Clueless and giggle and paint my nails. I digress. The Cucumber Dill was just as dilly as I would want a dill dip to be. I mean, you know what I mean?

This is a sure fire way to please a crowd. Everyone appreciates some veggies and a healthy dip at a summer barbecue! And you know it’s something you can have yourself so  you aren’t limited to potato and pasta salads for your sides.

Cucumbers make great chip or cracker supplements. I use mine for dips or even for chicken and tuna salads!

And the aforementioned ruffled carrot chip. Available in most all grocery stores and great for a carrot texture change.

Don’t forget to leave a comment below and I’ll send three of you a coupon to try your own fo free!

  1. YUMMM!!! I love to dip carrots and zuchinni in veggie dip!!! I’d love to try one of these!

  2. My support group hooked me up with crackers made entirely of cheese! I’ve found them in the deli section at Wal-Mart and although they are a little pricey…they are a wonderful snack with veggie dip o hummus. I typically use a packet of dried veggie dip mixed with low-fat sour cream but am thinking the french onion dip you mentioned above would be amazing. Yumm-o!!

  3. Yum! I think this would be great, but I make my own with the plain Greek yogurt and a dash of dry hidden valley dry ranch mix. It’s a delicious and easy on the budget AND calories!

  4. I do that all the time!!!! These are fun different flavors other than the Ranch but oh do I hear ya! That recipe is money!

  5. Yum! I miss French onion dip. I’ve tried mixing onion soup mix with Greek yogurt but it’s just not the same. I’d love to try this!

  6. Cucumbers and carrots are my favorite. Sometimes I like using broccoli because it is like dipping a mini tree into the dip. :-)

  7. Sounds interesting to try. I love all raw veggies for dips but am partial to broccoli and carrots.

  8. I would LOVE to try these!!! Finding ANYTHING post WLS friendly for quick get together a is not easy. I enjoy cucumbers and baby carrots, or my favorite is zucchini chips. I am wanting to try the cheese crackers Keri H mentioned. I have it pinned on my Pinterest…just haven’t had time yet to make it happen!! Lol

  9. Yumz! Just when I thought I could not love Greek yogurt any more than I already do… And carrot chips are amazing. Well played!

  10. I tried the Roasted Red Pepper and it is awesome my next purchase is the spinach can’t wait!!!!

  11. I enjoy dippin tomato sliced halves into the cucumber dill. It super refreshing and add smoothness to my home grown tomatoes.

  12. I put the “Cucumber Dill” on falafel as it tastes almost exactly like tzatziki but without all of the cucumber to grate.

  13. I love this dip! I use it as a sandwich spread instead of mayo, as well as a dip for pita chips, cucumbers, carrots, peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, celery and more.

  14. Oh YES, tried the Cucumber Dill today. I loved it. It will be a “go to” snack for hot weather coming up. That was the only Oikos flavor I found at my Wal-Mart. They had other yogurt dips, but they had more fat and less protein than the Oikos brand. Thanks for sharing them!

  15. I absolutely LOVE these dips! I am completely addicted! They are all good, but my favorites in order are French Onion, Cucumber Dill, Roasted Red Pepper, and Veggie Herb. These are great for me since I’m on Weight Watchers and one serving of these is only one PPV. But guess what?! So is a DOUBLE serving! In fact, you would think that at one point per serving, the whole container would be 11 points (or even more because it often happens that PPVs more than double when you double a serving), but the whole container is only 7! I also love to use these dips in place of milk when I make scrambled eggs. It gives them a good flavor. My brother even made a mock hollendaise sauce with the French Onion and that was amazing!

  16. The salsa greek dip is delicious on scrambled eggs or for dipping cheese sticks. Otherwise I make my own with greek yogurt and fresh salsa. The cucumber dip I use for veggies like mini sweet peppers, carrots and even celery sticks.

  17. This is a great product and has now disappeared from all the stores shelves. Very frustrating. I don’t understand why that happens.
